THE SEARCH FOR ANSWERS..

My partner and I decided to take on the 105 mile Tour Du Mont Blanc challenge in July 2015. In fact, we have just returned and can't wait to share our experiences. As recent graduates (a.k.a poor ex-students) we opted to camp as much as possible along the route. Scrolling through the Cicerone guide and several other websites, blogs etc it became apparent that there was very little information regarding campsites or the possibility of wild camping. Therefore, I have created this guide specifically to advice other Tour Du Mont Blanc campers on the best campsites along the path.

Overall, our camping experience was great. We needn't worry about the annoying snorer, the squeaky bunks, the early morning bag rustlers or the random talkers who think a 4am wake up call is necessary. Although a few campsites were a little off the TMB track they provided a good base for buying any essentials from the villages nearby and always offered outstanding scenery (so you're not missing out).
